Looper vs Cognigy

A platform without an integrator. Days instead of months.

Cognigy is a veteran low-code platform for voice and digital agents, a Leader in Forrester 2026, and part of NiCE since 2025. Users describe it as a "toolbox": you get a platform, and an integrator builds on it for 2 to 4 months. Looper brings the platform and the team in one package, and launches a first process within days, on your own servers.

The bottom line

Cognigy is a toolbox.

Very good, but someone needs to build. Looper brings the builders.

Cognigy is three accounts.

License, telephony, integrator. Looper: one subscription.

Cognigy is a contact center.

Looper is the whole back office.

Where Looper usually starts

Finance and accounting

Invoice matching, bank reconciliation, collections follow-up and month-end close. The repetitive hours a finance team spends in spreadsheets and inboxes every week.

Logistics and operations

Order and shipment tracking, supplier and carrier updates, exceptions and documents, and chasing statuses across systems.

No engineering project on your side

We build inside the tools you already use and run it in your environment, on a cloud model of your choice or on local models on your own hardware. You do not need a dev team to make it work.

Your team can change it too

The solution is not our black box. Your people can adjust and extend the solutions themselves on the platform, and we are always there when you want us.

Who is Cognigy

Cognigy was founded in Dusseldorf in 2016 and was acquired by NiCE in 2025 in a deal worth about 955 million dollars. It is a low-code platform for building voice and digital agents for service centers, with free LLM choice, a broad integration library, an AI Copilot for agents, and MCP support. Forrester rated it a Leader in 2026, and it serves over 1,000 brands: Bosch, Lufthansa, Mercedes-Benz, Toyota. Deployment is SaaS or private cloud, pricing is usage based, with a pilot reportedly starting at about 2,500 dollars a month and full deployment reaching 300,000 dollars a year and up. For an organization with an NiCE or Genesys contact center and a team to build on it, Cognigy is a proven platform.

Where Cognigy is stronger

A mature voice and digital platform.

A decade of development, a Forrester Leader, 1,000 brands.

Contact center integration library.

NiCE CXone, Genesys, Salesforce out of the box.

LLM choice.

Like Looper, not locked to one model. An advantage over most of the list.

Ecosystem.

Integrators and partners worldwide. If you already have an NiCE partner, there is someone to call.

Where Looper is stronger

The team is included.

Cognigy users describe a "toolbox with no home". Looper brings the people who build, run, and improve it, as part of the subscription.

One account.

License plus telephony plus integrator versus one fixed subscription.

Days, not a quarter.

2 to 4 months with an integrator versus a first process within days.

The whole back office.

Cognigy builds a contact center. Looper also builds reports, invoices, reconciliations, and emails.

On your infrastructure by default.

Private cloud at Cognigy is an option. At Looper it is the baseline, including the first demo on a laptop.

Certainty.

Cognigy is now inside NiCE, and users note roadmap uncertainty. Looper is independent and talks to you directly.

What Looper does that Cognigy does not

Daily branch report from registers and the ERP.
Vendor invoice control before payment.
Card processing reconciliations against credit companies.
Handling emails and written requests.
Tender and document analysis.
A live dashboard answering free questions in Hebrew.

Cognigy bills across three separate components: license, telephony, and implementation. Looper bills on one component, which includes building, running, and improving.

Which one to choose

Choose Cognigy if

  • You have an NiCE or Genesys contact center and an existing integration partner.
  • You have a team that will build and maintain on the platform.
  • The need is a voice and digital contact center at scale.

Choose Looper if

  • You do not have an integrator and do not want to manage three vendors.
  • The pain is not only the contact center but all the office work.
  • You want a first process this week, at one known price.
  • The data must stay with you.

Frequently asked questions

Cognigy allows private cloud. What is the difference?

At Cognigy this is an option in the agreement. At Looper, running on your infrastructure is the default for every customer, including the first demo.

Both Cognigy and Looper allow LLM choice. So what?

True, and it is an advantage for both. The difference is who builds on top of it: an integrator billed separately, or the Looper team as part of the subscription.

Can Looper connect to our NiCE contact center?

To any system with an API, yes. But if the need is a voice agent inside CXone, Cognigy is a better fit. Looper will handle what is around it: written requests, reports, invoices.

What happens when a change is needed?

The Looper team makes the change, usually within hours, as part of the subscription. No integrator billing.

How much does it cost?

Fixed annual subscription, price discussed on the call. One subscription, no telephony, no separate implementation.
